Tiny's Wedding Huge In NumbersThe wedding of Tiny Tim on Johnny Carson's NBC late niter Wednesday polled the highest rating in tv history for a talk show. It was so astounding that NBC was asked three times to check its accuracy. Anyhow, here's how Nielsen called it for the N.Y. area:Carson, 39.4 rating and 84% share; Merv Griffin and hosts in the Joey Bishop time slot, 1.3 and 3. Meanwhile, Griffin, whose late-night CBS-TV talk show was clobbered by, Tiny Tim's wedding in the N.Y. Nielsen, will try to recoup some lost points by satirizing the wedding. The satire will be aired Monday on Griffin's show, with Steve Allen, who penned the skit, participating as Big Steve, marrying Miss Jaynie (Jayne Meadows, Allen's wife in real life). Dom De Luise will limn the minister.
